KAMPUS FACILITY MANAGEMENT APPLICATION
Konfides Kampus is a facility management application suite targeted to be used in closed environments by the facility managers or service companies operating these buildings, campuses etc.
Both modules can be use independently and are capable of integrating to customers’ existing infrastructure. When used in the same environment, common back office speeds up implementation for the shared individuals and business rules.

Policy Based Design
Policies enable dynamic grouping of individuals according to their relation to the organization.
Multi Location
It was designed to be used for management requirements of multi-location organisations.
Role Based Screen Design and Rule Management
Management screens could be designed for users with specific roles. For example, HR manager or security administrator might want to see the same data in different formats based on their requirements implied by their roles. There are some preset roles and additional roles can be created within the system.
Autonomous and Offline Operation Capabilities
Offline operation capabilities of terminals provide a fault resilient working environment. Terminals report their activities at specified intervals or whenever they have connection to the server.
Card Life Cycle Management
Starting from physical production/personalization of the card to the delivery to the cardholder, all processes are controlled by Card Life Cycle Management module of Kampus. Integration with 3rd party card personalization service providers is also possible. Industry standard algorithms and procedures to handle required level of security for the card personalization is implemented.
Terminal Management
Depending on the working environment and required functionality a wide range of terminals are supported by Kampus. Terminals communicate with Kampus over a standard interface protocol providing an abstraction layer to system manager from terminal specifics.
PAYMENT CONTROL
Cafeteria Control
Especially in universities and colleges there could be complicated rules than making a simple payment. Free or subsidized meal price for the first payment during the day, different price for second or subsequent payments is the most common model. Pricing differentiation based on individual’s role and day of time can be managed. Regardles of the price, it is possible to control an individual’s access to a specific cafeteria.
E-Purse
Kampus Agora manages classic payment transactions (standard POS terminal, amount entry, spend from available card limit). This module can be used in almost all the payment points leaving business rule controls to the merchant. Integration to vending machines, printers is also possible.
Credit loading to the cards is possible with cash accepting kiosks or with a cashier collecting cash. Other methods include web service integration or directly from the back office user interface. If the loading is done with card number, terminals can be used to update the card balance.
Parking
Parking rights is similar to cafeteria with different pricing and conditions. Subscription for students, time-based payment for visitors and free access for faculty or any combination of role and pricing could be implemented.
ACCESS CONTROL
Access Control
Kampus Shinka covers features that mainly focus on physical security and monitoring services. It has been designed especially for campuses with many control points so that all management and monitoring functions can be configured easily.
Visitor Management
Access control or payment functionality for temporary users have different rules than standart flow. They need to be handled separately to make the process less complicated for system users. Refund of the credit at the end of the usage, authorization of visitor card through the path to the visited person or location are basic processes of the visitor module.
Policy Based Approach
Instead of the classical “gate and card approach” used in many systems, we choose “the zones and individuals” approach allowing for easy implementation and management for installations from a couple of hundred upto several hundred thousand cards. Together with the data collected in other modules of Kampus powerful reports can be created.
Control Terminals and Front Office
The ShinkaBox terminals can work completely autonomously as they can store access rules for several hundred thousand individuals and control several peripheral devices even when offline. Together with the ShinkaServer, which is the front office system managing the ShinkaBox terminals, Shinka system offers an uninterrupted service even for very large campuses.
Integration Capabilities
As well as the standard WebServices provided by the Kampus system, each ShinkaBox terminal can also be used as an integration point.
